Leadership Reflection
How are you doing as a leader? Here is a list of 7 benchmarks you can reflect on.
Replace
The ability to replace yourself. This is the highest honor for a great leader. Invest your life, love and energy in someone until he can do it better than you!
Vision
The ability to cast a big vision! Great people follow great visions. Not only do they follow the vision, but also the leader who can communicate it in a way that generates a passion to follow it. People follow people with a big vision!
Others
A passion to make others great. Great leaders know: “It’s not about me”. They know that, wherever they are, they make everyone around them the best they can be! Leave a legacy through others!
Risk
The willingness to Risk it. This goes without saying. A great leader is not foolish, but willing to move without having answered every question in advance.
Speak
The willingness to say, “I was wrong.” Despite a leader’s passion, vision and drive, he still makes mistakes. A great leader is always willing to say “I was wrong.” It empowers those around him.
Listen
The humility to listen to others. When a leader leads, others are following, and a great leader will never be a “know-it-all”. He will recognize and thrive on the abilities of those in his team!
Change
They are always in a state of change! If you aren’t changing, you aren’t growing. A stagnant leader is an ineffective leader. That means: Reading, mentoring, coaching & more learning. Never stop!

Thank you Caracas. It’s good to hear that my posts help you work with your team and strengthen your leadership. I’ll keep them coming and like always keep them short and to the point.
Excellent. Today I had this meeting with my leadership team working in the planning of a Youth Congress, reading this I can realize how we lived those benchmarks today! God bless you and your family as you inspire me to work in my minister here in Caracas, Venezuela.
